Room 2's bush camp

We had a wonderful experience recently going to the Bush Camp in the Waitakere Ranges. We went back in time and discovered that the world looked quite differently in the 1880's. We noticed that we didn't produced any rubbish and worked our muscles hard all day. We learnt that we need to think about our actions and how it can affect future generations. Luckily the bush is generating which once got chopped down, and we were able to listen to the beautiful bird songs. Another reminder of thinking about our actions and tread lightly on earth!
Boiling the water over the fire. Careful,
you might catch fire!
Buttering the home-made scones.

Tipping the boiling water
into the tin can water holder

Sawing the wood as hard as we
could!
Working the transport trolley with
Jimmy the devil.
(It's a long story.)
Cooking the scones with the embers.
They've had a hard time.
